About
ACORES
The Australian Cardio-Oncology Research & Education Symposium (ACORES) is Australia’s inaugural dedicated Cardio-Oncology meeting, advancing research, education, clinical practice and collaboration nationwide. We bring clinicians, scientists, and educators together to translate evidence into improved cardiovascular care and better patient outcomes for people living with and beyond cancer.
Join clinicians, health practitioners and researchers shaping best practice in cardio‑oncology across Australia
About the Symposium
Cardio-oncology is a fast-evolving discipline focused on preventing, detecting and managing cardiovascular complications in people living with and beyond cancer. Cancer survivors face a significantly higher burden of cardiovascular disease due to the cardiovascular effects of cancer treatments as well as shared risk factors. As cancer survival grows, cardiovascular health is increasingly central to long-term outcomes, requiring integrated care that optimises both cancer treatment success and lifelong heart health.
The Inaugural ACORES meeting aims to build a multidisciplinary network connecting cardiology, oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, pharmacy, and allied health.
Across two days, the symposium will feature national and international experts, providing opportunities for collaboration, cutting-edge research, best practice clinical presentations, and the development of Australia’s cardio-oncology community.
Join experts across multiple fields, including clinicians and researchers in the field of cardio-oncology, consultant and trainee cardiologists, medical and radiation oncologists, hematologists, allied health practitioners involved in the care of patients with cancer (nurses, technicians, cancer care coordinators, exercise physiologists, physiotherapists and dietitians) and fundamental, translational and clinical researchers in cardio-oncology.
